This photograph was taken on August 23, 2017, and edited February 26, 2018. This photo was taken using an iPhone 7 at Global Fest 2017 Quebec night. As this was my first time attempting to shoot fireworks I had to throw out my initial ideas of getting the perfect shot without any need for cropping. The next problem arose when I had forgotten my proper camera at home, so I was stuck with my phone which thankfully has a fairly decent camera.

This photo is mostly the same as any other in this batch while lacking the colour of some of the other photos taken that night I feel it still achieves a stunning beauty unrivalled by some of the other photos. There is something so utterly beautiful about the frozen moment in time, seeing the sparks come off the exploded shells.

Edits

When I got around to finishing up my edits I took the photo into Photoshop and cropped each photo from the batch manually, next I used the Levels tool to make the sky darker by bringing in the black marker to the right a tad. The final step I took was to boost the contrast up to 56 to bring the colours out and help decrease the ever-growing smoke cloud.
