This logo was part of a project we did on Branding and Branding guidelines; we were asked to make a logo for a fictional company or brand. I decided to take this project and start my brand with a logo.

Why Winter Wolf Creative?

I started this logo thinking what I liked; unsurprisingly I picked a wolf as the primary focus of the logo as they are my favourite animal. After selecting the animal, I wanted to be the focus of my logo I had to pick a bit of a theme and seeing as I have lived in Calgary most of my life and at the time it was winter I decided to go with that. Lastly, I picked the word creative as it describes who I am, by the time you finish reading my brands’ name you already know a bit about me.

The colours.

Next, I needed to choose the colours for the logo I wanted to stick to the theme I started with and used “winter” as my inspiration, and the rest just came naturally. The blue is a very icy blue giving off a wintery feel. Both the green and blue colours were too bright to be alone on the logo as well as both not being able to be mixed, so I picked the third colour the purple to bee the field behind “creative”. The purple while still being a cool colour brought a much needed dark colour, and in the end, I don’t think I could have picked any better colours.
