Izzeta’s Gun
Created with: 3DS Max

This project was titled Manufactured Object. I love how this project turned out. All the little details that I put into this makes it needlessly complicated, but without them, it would look incomplete.
The Problems & My Solutions
The first problem I encountered with this object was how I was going to do the barrel. The apparent solution to this was to make it a single cylinder that was stretched out to extreme lengths. I did this then gave it some detailing to match my reference photo.
Next came how to put the barrel inside the wooden frame and make it look believable. This was a bit harder, but I ended up making the wooden frame a compound object by cutting out a copy of the barrel.
The seat posed a bit of a problem but was rather fun to solve, getting it to bend the way it does. It ended up requiring a bit of fiddling as if it bent too much it looked wrong. The next hard part was getting the seat to sit correctly on top of the wooden casing.
Well, this project ended up with a few false starts the challenge was very fulfilling. All in all this project was really fun to do and it turned out amazingly. I am really proud of how this turned out.
